Dean's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is my pleasure to be the Dean of Students at North Branford Intermediate School again this year.  I began my teaching career, right here in North Branford 26 years ago and it has been a privilege to have worked with wonderful students over these many, many years (I might have had you as a student too!).  Currently, I have the pleasure of working with students whose ages range from 10 - 18 years old on a daily basis and it’s a great adventure.

North Branford Intermediate School offers your child a warm, caring and kind environment.  One of my goals as Dean is to foster this environment.  I make a point of personally greeting your child as he/she gets off the bus in the morning.  I also wish your child a pleasant afternoon as he/she boards the busses to leave for the day.  I enjoy talking with your child during lunch as well and enjoy getting to know him/her personally.  From these daily interactions, I want for your child to feel comfortable seeking out a trusted individual, like myself, at any time and in any situation.

As a high school teacher, I have created a connection with the high school’s Student Union, whose advisor is Mrs. Nicole LaCroix.  The Student Union will be providing your child with in person lessons on Acceptance and Diversity four times this school year during our PRIDE time.  It’s an exciting experience when the high school students come over to the middle school to make connections and teach life long lessons that focus on our PRIDE attributes.

I am truly looking forward to this school year and the many opportunities I will have to get to know your child more.  Please feel free to contact me at any time.   I can be reached atjtzetzo@northbranfordschools.orgor at 203-484-1500.  Go Hawks!

Thank you,

Jennifer Tzetzo, Dean of Students
